Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization applications
- Design and execute quantum hardware experiments at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Collaborate with AI/ML specialists on hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Secure federal and private research grants (>$1M annually)
- Present findings at global quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing experience (IBM, Rigetti, or Google)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
