Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum hardware solutions using superconducting and photonic systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies and architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives within the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum hardware in Nature/Science journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#) and classical HPC frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (NSF, DoE, or corporate grants)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics preferred
