Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to characterize and improve qubit performance
- Create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Lead research publications and patent applications in quantum computing
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and information theory
- Proficiency with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
