Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Optimize quantum circuit performance using proprietary software tools and hardware accelerators
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies and intellectual property
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, topological qubits, and variational algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ preferred)
- Track record of translating theoretical research into practical quantum applications
