Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using advanced measurement techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Participate in quantum hardware co-design with engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong track record of securing competitive research grants
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
