Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications in finance and healthcare
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages like Q# and Cirq
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum error correction techniques and fault tolerance
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with engineers
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
