Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments on IBM Quantum and Rigetti systems to validate quantum advantage
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $2M+ in DoE and NSF research grants
- Mentor PhD interns from Stanford and Berkeley quantum programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil frameworks
- Published papers in top quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Familiarity with superconducting qubit architectures
- Strong Python/C++ skills with low-level optimization experience
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental results
