Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Author peer-reviewed research papers for Nature and Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with practical quantum processors
- Secure federal grants and venture capital for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Present findings at global quantum technology summits (e.g., Quantum World Congress)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or topological quantum computing
- Demonstrated success securing NSF or DoE research grants
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems optimization
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies (preferred)
