Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum cryptography and machine learning
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford quantum computing consortia
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing clusters
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Preferred: Prior work in quantum machine learning or quantum chemistry
