Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 deployment
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure federal and private quantum computing research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with global partners on quantum internet infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
