Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors and control systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and build cross-functional quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research (Qiskit/Cirq experience required)
- Publication record in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and assembly-level optimization
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti) or simulation platforms
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
