Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Develop proprietary error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Patent 2-4 breakthrough technologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing/superconducting systems
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems theory
- Proven track record of translating theory to commercial applications
