Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Design scalable quantum error correction protocols for practical applications
- Lead cross-functional prototyping teams to validate quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical models into industry-ready implementations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems
- Clearance for DOE/NIST quantum research projects
- Proven grant writing success for federal research funding
