Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing R&D roadmap aligned with 2026 industry milestones
- Oversee development of quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into scalable quantum circuits
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Drive patent development for quantum hardware innovations
- Establish industry-wide quantum computing standards through consortium participation
- Author high-impact publications in Nature Physics and Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing and gate-based systems
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated success in securing government research funding
