Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical commercial applications
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through technical proposals and partnerships
- Drive quantum hardware-software integration for 99.9% fidelity systems
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science publications
- Shape industry standards through IEEE and Quantum Computing Consortium involvement
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years quantum computing research with published qubit manipulation results
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of securing government/industry research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical researchers
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, etc.)
