Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in cryptography and AI optimization
- Architect scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic technologies
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on quantum error correction breakthroughs
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA and NSF quantum research grants
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum supremacy applications
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and error correction protocols
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
