Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Architect scalable quantum hardware architectures targeting 10,000+ qubit systems by 2026
- Secure $5M+ annual research funding through NSF, DoD, and industry partnerships
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals and lead patent portfolios
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum for partner universities
- Develop error correction frameworks enabling fault-tolerant quantum supremacy
- Collaborate with global quantum networks to establish interoperability standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years R&D experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubit systems
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants ($2M+)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and QIS simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of superconducting, photonic, or trapped-ion quantum architectures
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers with published impact metrics
- Strong familiarity with NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerance roadmaps
