Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm frameworks for real-world applications in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists in developing quantum hardware prototypes
- Establish strategic partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers to accelerate prototype validation
- Author peer-reviewed publications and white papers advancing quantum computing methodologies
- Secure government and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and experimental best practices
- Monitor quantum security threats and develop countermeasures for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research experience
- Published work in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of securing $500K+ in quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
