Responsibilities

- Design and execute research roadmaps targeting fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2026
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from government and private entities
- Mentor a team of 5+ quantum physicists and software engineers
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on real-world quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years of research experience
- Proven track record in publishing quantum algorithms with >100 citations
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing NSF/DARPA or equivalent international research grants
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
