Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and optimization
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in quantum computing or theoretical computer science
- Proficiency in low-level systems programming (C++, Rust) and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Ability to secure DOE or NSF research funding preferred
