Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic interconnects
- Develop hybrid classical-quantum algorithms for optimization problems in financial modeling and drug discovery
- Lead quantum error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity rates
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical HPC systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents for novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq) with portfolio of production-level code
- Proven experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum error correction
- Experience securing venture funding for quantum research initiatives
