Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications in cryptography, drug discovery, and optimization
- Develop error correction protocols achieving fault-tolerant quantum operations by 2026
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms leveraging machine learning frameworks
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with existing cloud infrastructure
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at conferences like IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $10M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, ion trap, or photonic systems)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and quantum simulation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Track record of publishing peer-reviewed papers on quantum computing
- Experience with quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Strong project management skills leading technical initiatives from concept to deployment
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to non-technical stakeholders
