Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors operating at 20+ qubit stability
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows for enterprise clients
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define quantum control system specifications
- Author white papers and technical specifications for 2026 quantum roadmap
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or superconducting circuit design
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, or LDPC)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in IEEE/Physical Review journals on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum system integration and calibration
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum state tomography
- Security clearance preferred for government contract projects
