Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 1,000+ qubit systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for real-world industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Optimize quantum algorithms for hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Establish security frameworks for post-quantum cryptographic systems
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum communication projects
- Drive patent development for novel quantum hardware innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design and quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Familiarity with superconducting and ion-trap quantum computing platforms
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Experience leading technical teams through quantum hardware development cycles
