Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Develop quantum algorithms optimized for specific hardware platforms and use cases
- Lead quantum error correction strategies to enhance system reliability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software and physical qubit implementations
- Research and integrate emerging quantum technologies (photonic, superconducting, topological)
- Document architectural designs and quantum system performance metrics
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and foster innovation within R&D teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and decoherence
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Strong background in machine learning and classical optimization algorithms
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields preferred
- Certification in quantum security protocols (e.g., QKD, post-quantum cryptography)
