Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for next-gen AI systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum error correction optimization
- Develop novel frameworks for quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Partner with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in federal and private research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real quantum processors
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and tensor networks
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Cirq, Qiskit, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Quantum journals
- Strong background in topological quantum computing
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
