Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Conduct cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum AI applications
- Secure research grants through NIH and NSF proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and classical optimization
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
