Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum AI research roadmap aligned with 2026 technological horizons
- Lead development of hybrid quantum-neural network algorithms for exponential computation
- Mentor cross-functional team of quantum physicists and ML engineers
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research funding from government and private partners
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial applications
- Present findings at premier conferences (IEEE Quantum, NeurIPS, etc.)
- Collaborate with ethics council to ensure responsible AI deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or related field with 8+ years R&D experience
- Published research in Nature/Science quantum computing papers
- Proven track record scaling quantum algorithms on real hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Experience securing government grants (DARPA, NSF) or venture funding
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Deep knowledge of 2026 quantum hardware roadmap (IBM Osprey, IBM Condor)
