What You'll Achieve:
• Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotech, and climate tech
• Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with UN Sustainable Goals
• Partner with C-suite to embed future-proofing into corporate strategy
• Build and lead a cross-functional innovation incubator
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ landscape
- Develop quantitative and qualitative future scenarios for business continuity and market positioning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into R&D priorities and product roadmaps
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring innovation maturity and future-readiness
- Present strategic briefings to investors, board members, and industry coalitions
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation culture
- Author annual 'State of the Future' thought leadership publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, R&D leadership, or futures research
- Proven track record of developing and implementing long-term innovation frameworks
- Expertise in scenario planning, systems thinking, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Certification in Futures Studies or Strategic Foresight (e.g., from WFS or APF)
- Experience working with ESG metrics and sustainable development frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence C-level executives
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
