As a key member of our executive team, you'll collaborate with R&D, product, and market intelligence teams to develop a comprehensive 2026 technology vision. You'll identify disruptive trends, assess competitive landscapes, and translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and possesses a proven track record of turning futuristic concepts into market realities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy aligned with 2026 market projections and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, decentralized AI)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough innovations with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Present technology roadmaps and investment recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish KPIs to measure technology adoption ROI and innovation pipeline health
- Author thought leadership content on technology futures and industry disruption
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or corporate innovation with 5+ years at director/VP level
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, AI, biotech, clean energy)
- Proven track record of launching technology initiatives with >$50M impact
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Certification in Technology Strategy (e.g., CTS) or equivalent program
- Experience building innovation ecosystems and managing R&D budgets >$20M
- Prior experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
