Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers and engineers in prototyping next-gen systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-AI collaboration
- Present strategic vision to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Drive innovation portfolio allocation across $500M R&D budget
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics with 10+ years experience
- Proven track record in scaling technology from concept to commercial deployment
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or synthetic biology
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience with technology foresight methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of ethical AI and regulatory landscapes
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
