Responsibilities
- Scan global technology ecosystems to identify disruptive innovations with 2026 market potential
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic foresight findings to C-suite and board members
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions and venture capital firms
- Author thought leadership publications on technology evolution trajectories
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget for future technology incubation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of these domains: AI ethics, quantum applications, biotech convergence, or sustainable tech
- Published research in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
