Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AI fusion)
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D portfolio allocation
- Author thought leadership on tech disruption and future-proofing strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Proven track record of launching commercialized emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, neurotech, etc.)
- Executive-level communication with ability to translate complex concepts
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation
- Experience scaling tech ventures from prototype to market
- Portfolio of past innovation frameworks or technology roadmaps
