Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum applications, neural interfaces, etc.)
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and frontier tech startups
- Develop patent strategies for emerging IP in AI ethics and human-machine symbiosis
- Present futuristic visions to C-suite executives and venture capital stakeholders
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
- Produce quarterly whitepapers on technological singularity implications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic tech planning with 3+ years in emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI governance, neurotech, or climate tech
- Portfolio demonstrating published research on 2026+ technology forecasts
- Experience securing $5M+ R&D budgets for speculative innovation projects
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Track record of launching at least one category-defining tech product
