Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 industry disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuro-interfaces, carbon-negative computing)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough opportunities in biotech, space tech, and decentralized systems
- Partner with C-suite to integrate future-tech into corporate strategy and product roadmaps
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote at global innovation summits
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for experimental technology incubation
- Build strategic alliances with MIT Media Lab, CERN, and other innovation epicenters
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with proven 5+ year horizon planning success
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- Published research in Nature/Science on emerging technologies (quantum/AI)
- Track record of launching billion-dollar tech ventures with exponential growth
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks for breakthrough technologies (FDA, FCC, ESA)
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, Rust) and quantum computing frameworks
- Global network of innovators across 20+ countries
