Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) to identify disruptive opportunities and threats
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futuristic concepts into actionable product blueprints
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype next-gen systems (neural interfaces, quantum algorithms)
- Author strategic white papers and thought leadership on technological singularity implications
- Partner with policy teams to shape ethical frameworks for 2026-era technologies
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy with demonstrated impact on emerging tech adoption
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI development, biotech convergence
- Proven track record of creating technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Published research on singularity ethics or human-machine symbiosis
- Experience leading cross-continental innovation teams with diverse cultural perspectives
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools (Gartner, Forrester, custom AI trend analysis)
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks for frontier technologies (US/EU/Asia)
