Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends
- Lead quantum/AI research initiatives with MIT/Stanford partnerships
- Secure federal grants and venture capital for emerging tech projects
- Build and manage a 15-person R&D team of PhD scientists
- Present to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Drive sustainability integration in all technology deployments
- Collaborate with EU/Asian tech hubs for global innovation alignment
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in emerging tech strategy at FAANG or unicorn startups
- Proven track record of securing $10M+ in R&D funding
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum computing, AGI, or biotech convergence
- Executive-level stakeholder management across 3+ continents
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German (preferred)
- Active clearance for federal tech projects (or ability to obtain)
