Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with company vision and investor expectations
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate next-gen solutions in our innovation lab
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and manage relationships with academic institutions, startups, and research consortia
- Quantify market opportunities and risks through scenario modeling and predictive analytics
- Drive cross-functional adoption of emerging technologies across product lines
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or venture capital with focus on emerging tech
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology, or decentralized AI
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Track record of launching or scaling technology products with $10M+ market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and academic research communities
- Experience with patent strategy and intellectual property commercialization
- Exceptional communication skills for executive-level presentations
