Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026+ technology roadmaps for quantum computing and AI convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-7 year commercialization potential
- Architect strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies for executive stakeholders
- Oversee R&D budget allocation for emerging tech incubation programs
- Author thought leadership publications on the societal impact of 2026 technology trends
- Represent the company at global tech summits and policy forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of strategic tech planning experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech preferred)
- Deep understanding of ethical frameworks for advanced AI and biotech deployment
- Experience securing federal grants and DARPA-scale funding for futuristic initiatives
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to C-suite and board audiences
- Published author in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or IEEE Spectrum)
- Fluency in at least one quantum programming language (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one for government collaborative projects
