Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology, and nanotechnology
- Lead cross-functional labs to prototype and validate emerging technologies with $10M+ budgets
- Establish strategic partnerships with DARPA, NASA, and top-tier research institutions
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members using data-driven models
- Drive innovation through our Future Fund, evaluating 200+ disruptive startups annually
- Create competitive intelligence frameworks to position us as the 2026 technology leader
- Mentor a team of 15+ futurists, engineers, and data scientists
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering with 10+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record of commercializing at least 3 breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning) with 95% accuracy
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence trends
- Experience securing $50M+ in government/private research funding
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent tier publications
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to stakeholders
