Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech, AI ethics)
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends
- Present strategic findings to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional research teams and vendor partnerships
- Secure and oversee R&D grants totaling $5M+
- Drive innovation workshops with Fortune 500 partners
- Publish thought leadership in industry journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years in R&D with 3+ in leadership roles
- Published research in quantum/AI/sustainable tech
- Proven track record of securing research grants
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with startup/tech scale-up experience
