Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum AI, biotech convergence, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams to prototype and validate futuristic solutions in our Innovation Labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and market opportunities for 2026+
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and global research consortiums
- Present technology visions to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through persuasive business cases and ROI projections
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record of launching market-defining technologies (quantum computing, AGI, or neurotech preferred)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics; PhD or MBA strongly preferred
- Deep expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum algorithms, generative AI ethics, or sustainable tech
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants or corporate venture capital
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or similar peer-reviewed tech publications
