Responsibilities
- Architect and prototype futuristic technologies with 5-10 year commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, quantum computing, or bio-integrated systems
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech adoption in global markets
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive innovation opportunities
- Partner with venture capital teams to evaluate and incubate breakthrough startups
- Present visionary concepts to C-suite executives and industry consortiums
- Mentor junior engineers in next-generation development methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in tech R&D with proven track record in emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Published research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Experience with technology forecasting and scenario planning frameworks
- Strong portfolio of innovative prototypes or commercialized products
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
