Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology innovation strategy aligned with 2026 market forecasts
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging tech domains (AI ethics, climate tech, neuro interfaces)
- Manage a portfolio of experimental projects with $2M+ annual budget
- Collaborate with C-suite to translate innovation into commercial opportunities
- Build and mentor a team of 8-12 technical specialists and researchers
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present innovation roadmaps to stakeholders and investors quarterly
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology R&D with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record launching at least two breakthrough products
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech fields (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Strong background in agile innovation methodologies and prototyping
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across global locations
- Prior success securing funding for experimental projects
- Published research or patents in relevant technology domains
