Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with 2026 regulatory landscape (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights)
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI systems for bias, fairness, and transparency
- Establish AI governance protocols including risk assessment methodologies and compliance checklists
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed ethical-by-design principles in AI development workflows
- Represent Nexus in industry coalitions and policy discussions shaping 2026 AI standards
- Train stakeholders on ethical AI practices and compliance requirements
- Report AI ethics metrics and incidents to executive leadership and board committees
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or related field with specialization in AI governance
- 8+ years in AI ethics, compliance, or policy with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Deep expertise in emerging AI regulations (GPT-4.5, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Proven experience implementing bias mitigation techniques in production AI systems
- Strong understanding of technical AI concepts (ML architectures, data pipelines, NLP)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Published work or recognized contributions to AI ethics discourse
