In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead research and development of emerging technologies that will redefine industries by 2026, including quantum computing, AI ethics frameworks, and next-gen human-machine interfaces. Our Austin-based innovation hub offers unparalleled resources to transform theoretical concepts into scalable solutions.
This position reports directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and offers equity participation in groundbreaking projects. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, patent 15+ innovations annually, and influence global tech policy. We provide relocation assistance, flexible work arrangements, and a $20k annual R&D stipend.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in developing 2026-ready technology roadmaps
- Research and prototype disruptive technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic chips, etc.)
- Present findings at global tech summits and publish in Nature/IEEE journals
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on future-proofing their digital infrastructure
- Secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding through grant proposals and partnerships
- Mentor PhD fellows in emerging tech specialization programs
- Drive open-source initiatives for 2026 technology standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 10+ years experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (h-index >40)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AGI, etc.)
- Proven track record of scaling technologies from prototype to production
- Experience securing DoD/EU Horizon grants or similar funding
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and regulatory landscapes
- Fluency in Python/C++ with proficiency in quantum computing frameworks
- Exceptional public speaking and thought leadership credentials
