Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, biotech integration)
- Partner with C-suite to align strategic vision with operational execution
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis for next-gen tech paradigms
- Drive innovation workshops with global stakeholders to identify 2026+ opportunities
- Manage patent portfolios and intellectual property strategy for futuristic innovations
- Present technology forecasts to investors and board members with data-driven insights
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in futurist or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in developing long-term tech roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, blockchain, etc.)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Published author or keynote speaker at global tech conferences (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding for experimental technologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
