Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop and maintain strategic innovation frameworks aligned with UN SDGs and ESG principles
- Forge industry partnerships with academic institutions and global tech ecosystems
- Quantify and present ROI projections for emerging technology investments
- Direct prototyping of next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Mentor interdisciplinary teams in agile innovation methodologies
- Produce quarterly horizon-scanning reports on technology disruption vectors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Deep expertise in futures thinking methodologies (e.g., scenario planning, Delphi techniques)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation budgets or venture capital
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., PDMA, CMI)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successfully commercialized tech innovations
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
