Responsibilities
- Lead development of fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 deployment
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Mentor a cross-functional team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Secure $10M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Publish top-tier research papers and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Partner with industry leaders to identify 2026 quantum commercialization opportunities
- Oversee quantum hardware-software co-design for error correction
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years' experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of leading quantum research teams
- Experience securing federal research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and scalability challenges
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
