Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, quantum, and clean tech
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ tech landscape
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate innovation into corporate strategy
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget and vendor ecosystem
- Pioneer patent applications for proprietary breakthrough technologies
- Mentor junior researchers and foster future-focused talent pipelines
Qualifications
- 8+ years in tech strategy, R&D, or innovation management
- Proven track record in emerging tech adoption (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and futures methodologies
- Strong data literacy with proficiency in analytical tools (Python, Tableau)
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation (patents/articles)
- Strategic partnership experience with Fortune 500 companies
